Editorial

The Journal of Critical Care, the official journal of the World Federation of Societies of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine (WFSICCM), provides a forum for the publication of original peer-reviewed articles with the goal of improving patient care by integrating critical care systems knowledge into practice behavior. Topics will include biomedical research, epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy research, social sciences, technology development, and relevant legal and ethical concerns. The Journal will also invite articles discussing current, state of the art, and sometimes controversial topics in anesthesiology, perioperative and critical care medicine. The editorial board represents an international cross section of individuals actively involved in the disciplines of Critical Care Medicine and Anesthesiology.
