Veterinary Microbiology is concerned with microbial (bacterial, fungal, viral) diseases of domesticated animals (livestock, companion animals, fur-bearing animals, game, poultry, fish) that supply food, other useful products or companionship.

Original research papers of high quality and novelty on aspects of control, diagnosis, epidemiology, host response, immunology, molecular biology, pathogenesis, prevention, and treatment of microbial diseases of animals are published.

Veterinary Microbiology has an Impact Factor of 2.175 and is ranked 3rd out of 129 Veterinary Science titles in the 2005 ISI Journal Citation Reports!
