Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine

Editorial

ANAESTHESIA and intensive care medicine uniquely builds into a comprehensive textbook of best practice for anaesthetists and intensivists over a 36-issue cycle. It consists of commissioned reviews (which are then subject to peer review) which cover the curriculum of both the Primary and Final examinations for the Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists over a three-year cycle.

The majority of the readership is made up of qualified doctors who are in training for the FRrCAa but also covers consultants nurses and allied professionals. Launched in October 2000 as a subscription-only journal, the circulation has grown steadily to its current level of 1143 (2006).

ANAESTHESIA and intensive care medicine subscribers are provided with storage files, and advertisers are ensured frequent exposure of their advertisements as a result of high reader attention resulting from the textbook nature of the journal, with extensive cross-referencing.
